Destination Salem releases guide for visiting on Halloween | News
SALEM — The city of Salem’s marketing organization has released a visitor’s guide with information to help visitors and residents alike have a safe and enjoyable Halloween.
The guide by Destination Salem includes a list of public Halloween events, tips for finding restrooms, road closures, as well as safety rules and guidelines.
“Visitor trends throughout this month indicate that we are expecting large crowds for Halloween night,” Mayor Dominick Pangallo said. “We encourage visitors to plan ahead, take the train or the ferry, respect our rules and our residents, and enjoy a safe and fun visit.”
Among other tips, the guide encourages visitors to be considerate of town property and residents, not bring alcohol or real or fake weapons, avoid parking in “resident” spaces, and be prepared to leave at the end of the evening.
In addition to the attached Salem Halloween Night Visitors Guide available for download at HauntedHappenings.org, guests can download the Destination Salem and/or My Salem MA apps for updates in real time, and follow Haunted Happenings on social media for more information
